Giant Paint Brush Tutorial [Amaterasu]

Feeling a bit bored in the office and remembered that someone on DA asked me how did I made this brush for my Amaterasu gijinka cosplay, so~ I'm gonna make another quick tutorial~! Woot woot~~ 

Things you need:

PVC pipe 

(I forgot what's the daimeter of the pipe i used, I think it's about 45mm, I used about 1.5m long, I'm about 1.6m tall, do use pipe length propotinate to your own height.)

Hot Glue

UHU Glue

String

Wig (best if the fringe is uncut)

Spray paint

Colored hair spray

Bamboo hole cap. 

(Don't think these are available in western countries... whatever works then.)

Step 1 :

Spray paint your pvc pipe!

I used mahogany for the base and a little gold (splatter) for weathering/shine/texture/whatever you call it.

Step 2 :

Take 2 of the bamboo hole caps and remove the rubber string thingy attached to it.

Cut off the tab.

After that, cut off the base of one of the cap and poke a hole through the other's base to thread the string in. 

Spray paint the caps black before threading the string!!!

** Remember to prime the caps before spray painting, I didn't and the paint keep coming off.

Step 3 : 

Slot the caps onto the pipe and glue them down.

Red = The one without the base

Blue = the one with the string

Step 4 : 

Put a bit of glue (I used UHU and Hot glue) on the inner surface of the pipe and stuff the wig in. 

** Before stuffing the wig in, make sure you center the wig.

As in make sure the length of the fringe and back are equal (uhh.. not sure if you guys can understand or not ._. Sorry)

Last step :

Spray the tip of the wig to the color you want.

I used Gatsby Black hair spray.

Oiran hair piece tutorial II

Yo yo~ so here's a rather quick tutorial for Ame Yume Rou - Kagamine Rin's wig after procrasinating about it for months!

From the artwork we can all see that Rin has a hair bun too. How to do it? D:

1. Buy the pre-styled off online

2. D.I.Y

If you buy the pre-styled, how many times will you be using the wig? Once? Or maybe even only twice only?

We all know that pre-styled wig is usually more expensive then any other un-styled wigs.

I hereby~ provide a cheaper alternative for you guys~!

If you have a Rin and Len wig already, you save even more money!!!

Things needed:

1. Hair spray

2. Hair pins, Hair clips, ... 

3. Default Kagamine Rin wig

4. Default Kagamine Len wig (same color as Rin wig)

5. Hair spray

6. Stuffing

This is how stuffing look like

Yeap~ The fluffy thingy in your pillow (unless you are using feather or sponge pillows)

Tutorial:

First, put some stuffing into the Rin wig and shape it into a shape of the bun. With the center of the wig in the middle (what am I saying).

The bottom will look like a closed chrysanthemum *below pic is slightly opened, too lazy to scroll through google*  (LOL! I'm serious.)

Shape till the size you want while spraying a bit of hair spray to hold the hair in place.

SPAM hair spray to hold the bun in shape when you got the shape and size you want. Don't worry, the hair spray CAN be washed off afterwards.

When it's done, all you need to do is to pin it up onto your Len wig, with the pony tail hidden in the bun.

And there you have it!

Here's the final result~

The bun is a bit soft with the stuffing, maybe you would want to try using blue foam like Miku's wig

Here I am finally gonna blog about my trip to Tianjin. 

Went there to tag along Aya as she got invited to go over to join a competition. Well~ I don't have driving lessons as my coach is going for holiday too as it's a long weekend. 8D

Met old friends, made new friends~
I will updated this post later with more details. Maybe, maybe not.
Don't really have the motivation to blog anymore, feeling too lazy LOL!
