*Points to the 4 slots on the box.
I cut slots to slot in the belts and attached them to my legs.
They hold up properly but the box don't rotate when you are doing some poses.

Shingeki no Kyojin (進撃の巨人, Attack on Titan) 3D maneuver gear tutorial [Anime version] Part 2.5

Please accept this potato as an apology gift for providing not very good images for  tutorial (Part 2) of the 3DMG.

Good news!
I've collected my gears back and I'm currently working on a new set for my teammate.
Took some work in progress photos and HERE THEY ARE!
Hope they help.

** Do note that I've changed the shape of this part, it's different from the instruction in the previous post.
I realized that I've missed out that part while making the first gear.

The hole should be facing the back.

Feel free to ask me any questions regarding how I make the gears. I'll answer them as long as it's within my knowledge.

P.S If you have bits and pieces of foam left from cutting out the main parts, KEEP THEM FIRST!
can use them for the tiny parts.
Minimize wastage~~

Shingeki no Kyojin (進撃の巨人, Attack on Titan) 3D maneuver gear tutorial [Anime version] Part 2

A photo from Cosfest 2013!

Finally I'm going to continue blogging for the tutorial for the 3DMG thou I'm sure there're other tutorials out there now by others.

** Apparently I'm so focus into finishing my prop ASAP, I've missed out a lot of work in progress photos.
So I shall draw!
Warning: Very bad drawings, instructions and no measurements AGAIN because I didn't take note.
Can't take measurements now either as the prop is with my friend.

UPDATED ACTUAL IMAGES HERE!

First, Cut out a big circle (Pink)
2 x Whatever shape you call that (Black)
and 2x Small circles (Blue)

Attach the pieces together!
The circumference of the fins should be smaller then the blue circles.

You'll get something like this.
Uhhh... This drawing is not to perspective or scale...

I did add on some details.
Used some gems for phone deco for the "screws"

Then you make a box.
and sort of stuff at attach it in between the space between the 2... lets call them barrels.

** REMEMBER TO CENTRALIZE EVERYTHING! MY DRAWING IS NOT ACCURATE

Cut out a strip foam and attach to the (pink) circle, like how you make the sandwich in part 1, but this time, don't leave a gap.
Before you glue the strip down, cut a hole and attach another piece of strip foam

Cover the top and "shave off the edge" to an angle.

Lastly make the green part...
Seriously... It's so hard to blog without my prop with me to take photos of it for better explanation.
I GIVE UP! (=A=)

Feel free to ask me any questions regarding how I make the gears.
I'll answer them as long as it's within my knowledge.

P.S Refer to this blog for more proper images!!
The steps are the same as mine.
